He studied art in Berlin with Buchholz, Hentschke and Lange. In 1933 he moved to Bremen. After war he did study trips to New Sealand, Australia and the Southern Sea. The artist lives and works now in Seebergen/Fischerhude. He became known because of his landscape paintings of the Teufelsmoor.</SPAN></P> </BODY>
