Heinrich Breling

<BODY> <H1>Heinrich Breling</H1> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt"><STRONG> <A HREF="fhc74a.htm" TARGET="_top">Short biography and paintings of the artist Heinrich Breling</A></STRONG>He was borne in Burgdorf on October 14, 1849<BR>and spent his childhood in Fischerhude.<BR>Between 1863 and 1869, he studied art at the college in Hanover. After war 1870/71, he studied with W. Diez in Munich, where he became professor of art in 1883.<BR>In 1884, he was appointed to an artist at court of King Ludwig II. of Bavaria.<BR>After king's death, Heinrich Breling returned to Hanover in 1895.<BR>Heinrich Breling died in Fischerhude on June 9, 1914.<BR>He was an important representative of German historical and genre painting of the 19th Century.</SPAN></P> </BODY>
