He was borne on November 17, 1926
in Stendal and died in Fischerhude
on July 20, 2012.
Already during his grammar school days, his expressionistic paintings caused admiration.
After WWII and captivity, beginning in 1951 in Bremen, he dedicated himself to art at buildings, and he did study trips to Russia and Poland.
In 1964, he moved to Fischerhude, and devoted himself to art painting.
In June 2016 the Zöhl-Museum
was opened in the Bredenau Street.
